Teacher education
The University of Ottawa's Faculty of Education can help you achieve that goal. The Faculty's undergraduate curriculum leads to a baccalaureate in education and to the Certificate of Qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers. You acquire the theoretical and practical skills needed to teach at any level of the province's education system. Those skills include learning how to set educational objectives, design and evaluate curricula and plan lessons for the classroom. You also hone your teaching skills in schools where you observe seasoned professionals and gain first-hand experience.
Programs also offered in French
Undergraduate programs at the Faculty of Education are also offered in French. Although they lead to the same degree and certification, they differ in their approach and in their content.
